Vision of Love fund and provide Education in Human Values (EHV) program for 25 students who are affected by war in Mullaitivu, Sri Lanka. 25 new students were selected from various schools in Mullaitivu and Puthukudiyiruppu with the help of the principals. The induction class for the new 25 students was held on 17th August and the regular class began on 21st August along with the existing students. Vision of Love’s Grama Seva (Village Service) in Arumugathankulam village in Mullaitivu District was successfully conducted. The poor villagers were happy to receive their relief items. The pre-school kids and other students actively participated and enjoyed the day. Arumugathankulam is a very remote village and 103 families are living in this village. Vision of Love transformed a house in the village Nehrupuram in the Thirukkovil AGA division in the Ampara district from uninhabitable living conditions to habitable conditions for a poor family living in pathetic condition. Grandmother is a very poor woman who take care of her 2 grown up grandchildren, a boy aged 15 and a girl aged 14. Vision of Love organised a Grama Seva (village service) project in a remote village in Killinochi, Sri Lanka on 28 August 2016 to support the poor and needy. A total of 140 people attended together with 22 volunteers. The food was prepared and served with love, and Saree and Vetti/Sarong with a gift bag were given to adults and stationery was given to children. Vision of Love’s March month dry ration was issued to 53 families from 8 villages in Vanni, Sri Lanka. The amount of rice and the dal issued was according to the number of family members, which ranged from 1 person to 6 people. The small families received 8kg of rice and 1kg of dal while large families received 19kg of rice and 2.5kg of dal. For more information, please contact us via info@vision-of-love.org.
