Vision of Love’s October month dry ration was issued to 53 people who were from 7 villages in Vanni, Sri Lanka. The amount of rice and the dal issued was according to the number of family members, which ranged from 1 person to 6 people. Vision of Love funded a drinking water purifier for Salampankulam which is a remote village in Poonakary in Mannar district where 10 poor families consisting of about 40 members are living. There is a scarcity for drinking water in the village as the water in the wells are saline and not suitable for drinking purposes. Hence, the villagers have to travel about 2 km daily to fetch drinking water, especially the housewives have to undergo severe hardship due to this....
